Sulphur (Sulfur or Brimstone)
The physical recovery of Sulphur and the
efforts in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions have become intertwined and inseparable.
Sulphur occurs in many chemical combinations,
Sulphur oxides (SOx), SO, Sulfur dioxide SO2, SO3, S7O2, S6O2, S2O2
and Hydrogen Sulphur complexes such as
Hydrogen
sulphide
(H2S), sulphuric
acid
H2SO4
Our focus on
Sulphur Recovery
is based on the
Collection & Purification of a wide spectrum of Sulphur bearing materials in any state (solid, liquid or gas)
and the promotion of
Trade and
exchange
Sulphur/Sulfur compounds.
Sulfuric Acid Regeneration
Waste sulfuric acid is generated as a common industrial byproduct from many processes,
spent sulfuric acid H2SO4 may be currently treated by neutralization or regeneration.
Spent
acid
may be reconstituted by removal of contamination concentrating and re refining for use again.
One common source of waste Sulfuric Acid is from the Lead/Acid
Battery
used in cars and trucks.
Sulfide and Sulfate Minerals
Sulphur is contained naturally in a wide variety of sulfide and sulfate minerals,
sulphur byproducts are generated during the extraction of minerals and metal smelting processing.
In addition to residues like mining tailings many of the industrial processes produce
sulphur oxide emissions which contribute to acid rain.
The extraction, refining and burning of gas, oil and coal produce sulphur emissions,
scrubber systems help to reduce or remove some of this pollution.
The solid particulate matter is captured in the Baghouse dusts from the scrubbers.
Hydrogen Sulfide
Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is a common byproduct in many natural and industrial processes.
The non-traditional method of recovery may yeid elemental sulphur and may be an interesting
potential source of refined
Hydrogen.
Sulphur Collection & Purification
As an alternative to wet chemical extraction or thermal refining we focus on a cleaner technology
approach by utilizing electromagnetic energy.
Using a method similar to a electrostatic precipitator (ESP) and electrocatalyst to
selectively isolate and collect individual elements,
the technology is not limited to atmospheric particulate matter but can recover materials in any state (solid, liquid or gas)
Elemental Sulphur Solidification
The recovered sulphur may be rendered into a solid state compound in order to maintain an ambient,
stable form for ease of safe handling, storage or transportation.
Technology similar to 3D Printing Systems or additive manufacturing may be used for
agglomerating or transforming the mass of raw material into a desired shape layer by layer.
By establishing a standardized elemental commodity with a known and accepted size, shape and quality
a market can be developed for trading of an elemental raw feed stock for manufacturing and processing into complex materials.
Sulphur Trade
If you wish to buy or sell Sulfur compounds, please feel free to
ADD
your own Buy or Sell inquiry
to the online Sulphur/Sulfur exchange.
The Gems, Rocks & Minerals Exchange is a neutral platform that directly connects Sulphur/Sulfur buyers and sellers
and has operated online since 1995.
Green Sulphur Market
We would like to explore the potential of a Green Sulphur Market, a
Waste Regeneration
service based on the benefits and environmental impact
of removing atmospheric aerosol sulphur particles and particulates.
