Devulcanized Rubber
Raw elastomer compounds are much like a wad of bubble gum, during the manufacturing process
elastomers are cured or vulcanized which allows the rubber products to have strength and memory to hold shape.
Recovered vulcanized rubber products can not be directly used as a virgin rubber substitute.
Processes have been developed to De-Vulcanize Rubber and retain its elastic properties,
to date the market for De-vulcanized rubber has not achieved mass adoption but demand is growing.
