The grouping of class #7
Other Plastics
includes a wide variety of
Engineered
Thermo Plastics and
Mixed Plastics
grades and is a catch all for miscellaneous plastics materials.
If you wish to recycle Plastics, simply
ADD your inquiry
to the Plastic Recycling Exchange.

Plastics Waste
The recovery of class
#7 Other Plastics
encompasses Engineered Thermo Plastics, Mixed Plastics
and miscellaneous plastics materials.
The plastic recycling procedure involves three main stages of material processing,
scrap,
regrind and
repro.
Plastics Scrap
The first stage of the recycling process is the segregation of
Plastic Scraps
into uniform grades and the removal of any foreign materials or contamination.
The scrap material may be bundled or baled to facilitate transportation or material handling.
Plastics Regrind
The second stage of the recycling process is reducing various sizes and shapes of Plastics scraps into a
uniform granule or
Plastic Regrind suitable for blending and as an extruder feedstock.
Plastics Repro
The next stage of the recycling process is reprocessing the regrind into a resin pellet or compound with
specific technical specifications, colour, fillers etc.
The
Plastic Repro becomes a raw feedstock in the manufacturing process worldwide.
Polycarbonate Recycling
If you wish to recycle Polycarbonate (PC) plastic,
please feel free to
Post an Inquiry
to the Plastic Recycling Exchange.

processors and industrial end users of
Mixed Sortable Plastics.
Please feel free to add your inquiry if you wish to find a recycling connection.
There are alternative solutions for managing
Unsortable Plastic Wastes.
Mixed Rigid Plastics Recycling
If you wish to deal in
Mixed Rigid Plastics (MRP)
add your wanted or available listing in the Plastic Recycling Exchange.
Mixed Rigid Plastics (MRP) are the materials commonly collected from Single Stream or Municipal
Curbside Recycling
Programs and accumulated at MRFs (Material Recovery Facilities) that consist of #1 thru #7
post-consumer plastic bottles and containers, and may include plastics in
the categories #1 PET, #2 HDPE, #3 VINYL, #4 LDPE, #5 PP, #6 PS and #7 Other.
This grade may not contain flexible materials such as
plastic bags.
Please feel free to check-out

that you may wish to recycle.
Poly Escrap Recycling
If you wish to recycle
WEEE
Plastic Scrap recovered from Waste
Electronics
& Electrical Equipment,
please submit a
listing
on the Plastic Recycling Exchange.
Poly Escrap or E-Waste Plastic Scrap may consist of any assortment of plastic types but commonly have a high percentage of
HIPS
and
Polycarbonate
and may contain fire retardant (FR) additives.
Plastic Bag Recycling
Flexible plastic sheet products are commonly made from Polyethylene.
Plastic roll products may typically be
LDPE film.
Plastic bags may be LDPE but we find more often are
HDPE.
Both HDPE and LDPE materials are widely recycled and in demand.
The belief that plastic bags are not recyclable is a myth or a misunderstanding due to
some local recycling programs choosing not to include them as a material they accept for collection.
Used Plastic Pallets
If you wish to deal in Used Plastic Pallets,
you may connect with potential used pallet suppliers and pallet re-users.
Please submit your
wanted or available
requirements to the Used Commercial Container exchange.
