                              Gold Karat Scrap
            (24 Karat)       (22 Karat)       (20 Karat)
            (18 Karat)       (16 Karat)       (14 Karat)
            (12 Karat)       (10 Karat)       (8 Karat)

Jewelry alloys are typically measured on a system called Karats based on a scale of 24 parts, where 24 Karat refers to pure gold and therefore 12 Karat equals a 50% gold content alloy.
Processing scraps collected from jewelry manufacturing such as grindings or Jewelry Sweeps are typically valued based on the gold content recovered.

Dental Gold Scrap
Gold alloy scrap may be collected from gold teeth, crown & bridge work from dentists and may also be sourced from crematorium scrap. If you wish to Buy or Sell Dental Gold Scrap simply ADD a listing to the Inter-Continental Metal Exchange.
Other potential precious metals that may be generated from a dentist are Dental Amalgam Scrap and also Dental Xray Scrap.

Gold Recovered from Electronics

Electronics Scrap
The desire to seek treasure and the hunt for gold in the modern age has shifted focus to the mining of electronic items. If you wish to recover gold from Electronic Breakage you may ADD a Buy or Sell inquiry to the Inter-Continental Metal Exchange.

Circuit Board Scrap
The hunt for gold from electronics waste typically begins with the collection of Populated Circuit Boards and sorted high grade Gold Plated Circuit Board Scrap. The segragation of Gold Finger Scrap is a common method of concentrating gold content materials.

Chip Scrap
Higher gold concentrations may be found on SIM Scrap / Smart Card Scrap and on Mixed Scrap Integrated Circuits (IC chips). Higher grade Sorted IC chips (Integrated Circuit) may yield a rich or rewarding gold recovery rate.

Precious Residues
Strategic Rare & Precious Electronic Residues derived from raw electronic components recovered from dismantling or de-populating printed circuit boards that have been Shredded, ground or milled into a uniform free flowing particle size and that have been magnetically separated to remove any steel content.

Gold Plated Scrap

Gold Plated Scrap is accumulated from a variety of scrap items that contain a layer of Electro-Plated gold on the surface. The gold is typically sold or refined on a recovery basis and the value is determined by the Au content.

Gold Plated Scrap

Typical Gold Plated Scrap, such as electronics are commonly plated onto a copper substrate material. Copper is a metal with a porous surface so it is uncommon for Gold to be directly applied to the copper, as such a layer of nickel is applied to fill the porous copper surface and form a smooth surface that the gold may be applied to. The Nickel layer provides a smooth surface on which an extremely think layer of Gold may be plated.

The recovery of Gold Plated scrap from electronics copper substrates will subsequently yield some quantity of Nickel. The thickness of the nickel layer may range in excess of 5 to 10 times that of the Gold layer.

Gold Content Residues
Gold Content Scrap, slags, sludges & residues, ashes, sweeps & dross may be recovered and refined for the metal values.
