    The pyrolysis method of recycling scrap tires is a technique which heats whole or shredded tires in a reactor, vessel or an oxygen controlled atmosphere until the rubber decomposes or breaks down at a molecular level into various combinations of its basic elements.

The products or by-products produced from tire pyrolysis include Tire Pyrolysis Carbon (TPC), Tire Pyrolysis Oils (TPO), Recovered Tire Pyrolysis Gas (TPG) and Recovered Incinerator Steels.
